Otherpeople – Memory Gag EP

There is one hell of a lot of pop music in the world but sadly not much of it has any nutritious value. Talking Heads are history, Weezer lost the plot and Blur are surely past their best too. That's why Otherpeople are such a welcome arrival. Simple, glorious melodies, lively guitars and a total lack of fashion-orientated pretensions.

Tunes like Acoustic Guitars and Halloween take some of the best parts of all those aforementioned groups and transpose them into a contemporary alternative rock band. If this sort of promise can be realised on a full length album then we could have something very special on our hands indeed.
