Let’s Fuck: hell of a way to kick off an album, right? Well, this blunt honesty fits well with everything about this four-piece. There’s no bullshitting here, Glasgow four-piece You Already Know are all about being big, loud and brash, and even when they do let their technical side run wild there’s always going to be a pneumatic force behind it to ram those riffs right to the back of the skull.

The Gush is a prime example of this, a muted stop-start pummel forming the core of what should be the soundtrack to a particularly gritty biker flick, while Goliath sounds just as gargantuan as a name like that warrants. A rare moment of restraint is Meatshield, although even it parts in the centre to make way for a hurricane of distortion and emotion. It's an album that manages to be loud without being angry and showy without seeming self-indulgent: a classy piece of work, if you will.
