Wynd - It's All Good

If this is rock n roll, I want my old job back.

Album title: It's All Good
Artist: Wynd
Label: Self Released
Ever seen Lost in Translation? Well now we have Lost in Transition. There's little doubt that this album sounded fine in the garage. Through a stereo, however, we start having problems. Some bands make the transition painlessly. For others, it becomes a pain. The sound is, well, lost, and it is apparent that the music should have stayed put. 'It's All Good' is an example of the former. Lyrically, this album reads like a 16 year-old girl's diary (see the chorus to 'Good Times': "Drinking with my friends is fun /We spend our lives being young"). Musically, some decent guitar work saves it from being an utter abomination. The vocals are patchy at best and at times ('Is This Love?') shockingly cacophonic, while the songs are for the most part tuneless and anonymous. In the words of The Saw Doctors, "If this is rock n roll, I want my old job back." [Finbarr Bermingham]
