Pharrell - In My Mind

He's a talented producer and has a good ear for a commercial tune, as evidenced in album opener and first single Can I Have it Like That.

Album title: In My Mind
Artist: Pharrell
Label: Virgin
Featuring high profile collaborations with the likes of Kanye West and Gwen Stefani among others, coupled with notoriety earned from previous work with the likes of the Black Eyed Peas et al, the success of Pharrell's album 'In My Mind' is ensured. He's a talented producer and has a good ear for a commercial tune, as evidenced in album opener and first single Can I Have it Like That. The other singles so far released, Angel and Number One, are nowhere near as good, along with the remainder of this massive 15-track album. Fans of glittering American Hip Hop and R&B will lap this up since the beats and rhymes are solid, but it will appeal more to those who like a softer, more high-pitched slant to their beats. This is music produced specifically for a very large market, and for that reason doesn't do anything revolutionary, instead playing it safe with a multitude of references to chatting up girls, dating girls, breaking up with girls, hustling, and then getting back with girls.
