A Steve Albini endorsement will get you far in this world, and an M. Night Shyamalan endorsement used to get you far in this world. A Whisper In The Noise have both, having recorded and toured with the former and been featured in (the fairly rubbish) Lady In The Water.

 

Their swirling dreamy shoe-gaze sound, shorn of the voluminous aggression that propelled My Bloody Valentine et al, is probably going to prove a little too polite for genre acolytes and there are certainly a few unfortunate moments on To Forget where you could forgivably wonder if it doesn't swing just a little too close to Enya for comfort. But one little comparison with the queen of Irish harpies isn't going to hold back the tide of credibility surrounding these guys as they push on through consequent film-scoring jobs and appearances at ATP.
