Death Grips release stems for Government Plates and NO LOVE DEEP WEB

Article by Dave Kerr | 30 Jan 2014

Self-proclaimed futurists and punk/rap/electronic fusionists Death Grips have been pretty quiet since the release of their last, free-to-download album Government Plates. Last year's rumours that Zach Hill was working on a film, with DG set to handle the soundtrack, are still to be officially announced, although Hill hinted in January about the film's continuing genesis, the possibility of a forthcoming tour, and the beginnings of a new album. Their Third Worlds label, which Pitchfork reported would become a subsidiary but independent imprint of Harvest / Capitol, has also yet to officially announce any 2014 releases.

Now, following the same path they took with Exmilitary, the band have released the stems from their last two abums, Government Plates and NO LOVE DEEP WEB, online for free. This week, the band re-joined Twitter, using their new account to post links to the album stems. Get the Government Plates stems here, and the NO LOVE DEEP WEB stems here. Happy remixing!
