In recent years, things have levelled up in our small but perfectly formed corner of Kelburn Garden Party known as The Pyramid Stage. With the lighting and sound improving every year, our stacked lineups sound and look better than ever. This year, across the Friday, Saturday and Sunday we’ve got 22 artists set to play, and we can't wait for July to roll around.

Easing us into the weekend will be the amazing Isa Gordon. No stranger to the festival, Gordon arrives fresh from releasing 8Men, where she reinterprets traditional and classic songs, one of which was inspired by a grime tune she heard once at Kelburn. Maz & The Phantasms also aren't new to the festival, as Maz tells us. “Kelburn has been my spiritual home for a long time,” she says ahead of returing to play The Pyramid Stage for the first time. “It’s great to be sharing a stage with so many new and exciting independent artists and feel part of a wider local community.”

The rest of Friday’s lineup are all brand new to the festival. Expect gorgeous alt-folk from two rising talents – Glasgow six-piece Lacuna and Edinburgh five-piece Curiosity Shop. “I’ve been before as a punter and had a fantastic time, it’s such a great place to explore, I never get tired of that castle,” Curiosity Shop's Ru Wallace states. “We are going to be playing tunes from our upcoming debut EP (ssshh), as well as a few other songs, come along if you like harmonies.” Later, the night will descend into the perfect swirl of chaos as quirky post-punk outfit Conscious Pilot arrive fresh from releasing their excellent debut album Human Poultry, while closing out the night will be outspoken punk four-piece SOAPBOX. “We’ve never been to Kelburn before but a lot of our friends have told us stories about their time there. Excited to get in for a swim in the mornings,” singer Tom Rowan tells us. But what about their headline set? “Expect a bit of everything," Rowan says, "not just moshing but a bit of a boogie too.”

Saturday gets underway with quirky pop maestro Gurry Wurry who once described his singing as sounding like he was trapped in a bin, and well, who are we to argue with that. It's weird but great, we promise. Also weird but great is experimental musician Samwooddoowmas. If you want to see a man make music out of a can of Tennent’s, or turn a dildo into a theremin-like device, then Sam is your guy. Then for a dose of gorgeous mid-afternoon neo-soul, look no further than GAÏA. “Kelburn is my favorite festival by far!! It’s always such a magical weekend honestly," she tells us. “I’m so excited to play The Pyramid Stage this year, it’s the first time I’ll be bringing my music to the festival. Truly cannot wait.”

In the words of Charli xcx it's then time for a back to back to back dance break with three perfect pairings. Kicking off the dancing is bouncy electronic producer CUZINO, accompanied by ultra-talented singer Nwanneka, then Olivia McCosh and Cameron Robertson bring a slice of pure pop to proceedings as Majesty Palm; think woozy dreampop through a Dua Lipa filter. Then it's time for Solar Exterior, the new project from Doug MacDonald (aka Exterior) and Numbers Are Futile’s Panos Baras. "We’re excited to inject a small but concentrated amount of interdimensional static into The Pyramid Stage," they tell us. "We play semi-improvised music that's part dance, part drone, occasionally loud in ways you might not have anticipated. Drums that feel inevitable. Electronics that feel ancient."

Then it’s over to a pair of alt-indie-pop big-hitters to round out the day – the snarling and infectious grooves of Tina Sandwich and the fiery, fiesty and mildly unhinged Martha Barr, aka Indoor Foxes. Of her headline set, Barr says you should expect "lots of energy, lots of noise, lots of music [...] I love jumping around so hopefully everyone wants to join me in going absolutely feral. I’m hoping for a mosh hahaha!!”

With restoration top of our Sunday priority list (this isn't our first rodeo) we've planned a suitably calming start to the day for you, kicking off with the gentle balm of Hawick-based folk singer-songwriter Miwa Nagato-Apthorp. The chill vibes continue with the contemporary folk of Perth singer-songwriter Mairi Sutherland, before Rubie debuts her "new five-piece mega band". “The Pyramid was my favourite stage at Kelburn last year; such fond memories dancing to TAAHLIAH, Water Machine and Dancer... it’s a total honour to be joining the ranks of these legends,” she tells us. “Expect Bond theme drama, maximum heartbreak strings, and slinky apocalyptic bangers.”

The genre journey continues with harp-led alt-folk from Dara Dubh, before Azamiah's India Blue brings her gorgeous soul to the stage. Then it's time for an energy switch-up with Raj Mahal's rap-jazz ensemble before Chef The Rapper brings his DJ and saxophonist to the stage for an intoxicating fusion. Finally, closing out our stage are the fantastic Kai Reesu, whose effortless blend of jazz and hip-hop helped them claim the 2025 SAY Award. “We love the energy and general atmosphere of Kelburn [...] it’s truly a festival like no other!” they tell us. “We’re excited to raise the roof at the end of the weekend – the set we have prepared is about to go off. To play to the crowds at Kelburn, so engaged, supportive and passionate about having a good time together, is such an honour. We’re buzzing for a fantastic weekend!!"
