Jimmy Eat World @ Barrowland, 19 Nov

Having spent the bulk of last year celebrating the tenth anniversary of Clarity – arguably their finest and most influential album to date – Tempe, Arizona's melodic rock juggernauts Jimmy Eat World are hitting the road again, this time in support of recently released seventh LP Invented.

Mining the same anthemic radio-rock depths of their last few efforts, anyone at all disillusioned by the band's latter day output will no doubt be rewarded for their loyalty when they roll into Glasgow wielding another energetic, hit-heavy set culled from nearly two decades worth of service. Support comes from Seattle prog-pop mavericks Minus The Bear.
