Christ. @ The GRV, 26 Sep

Deep in the darkest recesses of the Cowgate (well, Guthrie Street) you will find The GRV, a multi-media arts venue which will soon play host to the equally dark stylings of Edinburgh electronica exponent Christ.. Serving as a launch night for Christ.’s latest LP, the wintery but warm Distance Lends Enchantment to the View (one of the final releases on sadly departed Benbecula Records), expect to have your ribcage rattled by roiling bass, creepy doctored vocals and haunting synths.

Organisers Cuts and Strings have rounded off the card with some formidable ambient talent in the shape of Christian Kleine (Morr Music), Kelpe and Malin. Like any multi-media extravaganza, it wouldn’t be complete without the visual art, which is provided by live illustrator Jenny Soep, interpreting the music as it’s played. On top of that impressive line-up, the resident DJs will be spinning twelves all night, and they won’t stop until everyone in attendance has figured out how to dance to minimal techno.

8pm-3am, £12
