Their soup offerings change everyday, ideal for a light pick-me-up. Craving something heavier? A mac and cheese paired with garlic bread might be the one for you. Opened by children’s author Çiğdem Kaplangi, Pudding & Stories is a hub where taste meets ambience. The pastries, inspired by Mediterranean flavours, are homemade. Our personal favourites? The Portuguese almond cake and basque cheesecake. Pair this with their coffee, made of 100% Arabica beans, and you have the perfect accompaniment to their range of prize-winning books, conveniently arranged on a shelf that decorates an entire wall. They also offer creative and practical workshops, ranging from paper-cutting to writing a personal statement. Patron Saint
We’ve finally found the best Bloody Mary in town – grab yours at Patron Saint, made in-house with a gorgeous, thicker consistency. Not quite up for a full glass? The eccentric yet delicious Bloody Mary burger gives a taste minus the commitment. For those craving smaller plates, a staff-favourite pairing is their veggie or chicken tacos with charred pineapple. While their cocktails take the metaphorical cake, Patron Saint also offer excellent beers such as Pilot's Peach Melba Sour.
