What’s been a highlight of the last 12 months for you?
I won CODE's 30 under 30 and The Caterer's Acorn Award, and Pomelo was listed in the Good Food Guide's 100 Best Local Restaurants. I also competed and represented Scotland in BBC's Great British Menu, which was a surreal experience.

What’s coming up in the future for you?
I tend not to think too far into the future for now. The hospitality space is in such a difficult situation, so maintaining our business comes first. In saying that, we are very soon to be celebrating our fifth birthday, which I'm very much looking forward to.

Where do you recommend people go in Edinburgh?
Make sure to spend some time in the Southside. The Meadows is green and lush and is a wonderful place to just stroll around. There are some wonderful historical buildings in the south of the city, as well as brilliant restaurants and cafes, so you'll be spoilt for choice.

Favourite place to eat?
China Bowl on South Clerk Street. If you like home-style, wok hei cooking, then look no further than there. Or if you are near Canonmills, Singapore Coffee House is a great shout for a delicious Kopitiam-style brunch.

Favourite place to drink?
Bramble is a small cocktail bar tucked away on Queen Street. Excellent cocktail list with a really nice ambience, and the perfect place to take a date.

Favourite shop?
I don’t do much shopping, but I am well-versed in supermarkets! I love a trip to our local Asian supermarket, Matthew's Foods. It's great for essential Chinese products, which you just won't find in standard supermarkets here.

Why do you like living here?
I love Edinburgh. It has a perfect mix of green space and historic architecture, which makes the city so beautiful. When we get the sunshine, I feel so grateful to live in a city like this. In the middle of winter? Less so.

Do you have an Edinburgh Festivals survival tip?
The Scottish summers can get unexpectedly hot! Make sure to drink lots of water when out and take breaks between shows to really take in the city. Support local small businesses and (most importantly!) be kind to staff.
