The new season of the cult animation will start streaming on Netflix in the UK this Sunday

Wubalubadubdub! The new season of the greatest cartoon on television right now is returning to Netflix this weekend. By this point you’ve probably all seen Rick and Morty's hilarious third season opener The Rickshank Rickdemption, which dropped as a surprise on April Fool's Day earlier in the year, but the UK release date for the full season has remained unclear – until now.

As revealed by the Independent, the new series of the cult show will begin streaming on Netflix UK this Sunday (30 Jul). But before you cancel all your weekend plans to get schwifty with the parallel universe adventures of mad scientist Rick and his nice-but-dim grandson, we should warn you we’re not getting the whole series in one bingeable dump.

To coincide with the show's US release on Adult Swim and navigate the murky world of transatlantic distribution deals, a new episode of the third season will land on Netflix each Sunday. Frustrating, we know, but it means you won’t be able to squanch the whole season in one sitting, like you probably did with season one and two.
