Not involving enough for adults and too dull for kids.

With their Antarctic station about to be hit by a major storm, a team of scientists are forced to leave eight huskies behind for the winter, during which time they battle starvation, the elements and psychotic seals for several months while trainer Paul Walker tries to raise the money to go back and rescue them. The plight of the doggies is compelling enough, but the constant shifting back to the humans is a distraction that serves little purpose other than to increase the running time to an outrageous two hours. Not involving enough for adults and too dull for kids, 'Eight Below' is a throwback to old fashioned Disney adventures that proves it's sometimes a good thing that they don't make 'em like they used to.
