Lisa (Diane Kruger) and Julien (Vincent Lindon) have a loving relationship, a young son, and a happy, if unremarkable, life together. Their world is turned upside down when Lisa is arrested for a murder she didn't commit and sentenced to twenty years in prison. As time goes on and desperation increases, Julien secretly begins devising a plan to break her out of jail and go on the run. There’s a sense that character development takes a back seat to the story, but it’s a compelling plot and a well-paced film. As the tension mounts, the expectation grows that this is all going to go horribly wrong - but there are surprises ahead, as well as a couple of quite moving scenes which lend the film more depth. From simple beginnings, Anything For Her reaches an impressive conclusion.
