Academy Award nominated, festival prize-winner (including an audience award at last year's Edinburgh Festival), and critically acclaimed the world over, 'Tsotsi' is the story of six days in the life of a young gangster in the Johannesburg township of Soweto. Our protagonist finds himself thrown into a situation that causes him to question his violent nature, and the life he has lived up to now. The joint British/South African production has been praised for its gritty realism - similar in style to the trailblazing 'City of God' - which is used to tell a very powerful and emotional story. With its nomination in the Best Foreign Film category at this month's Oscars, 'Tsotsi' could soon be opening doors for its currently unknown cast and director, which makes it all the more essential viewing on its release this month.

Tsotsi is released on March 17, but you can see it first and free with The Skinny! More info on page INSERT PAGE NUMBER HERE.
