With less than two months to go until we’re all back in the kaleidoscopic surrounds of Kelburn Castle for the annual Kelburn Garden Party, we're excited to finally share the lineup for our takeover of the festival’s Pyramid Stage.

An annual highlight in The Skinny’s calendar, we started helping curate the stage in 2018. In the early days, it was a one-day curatorial affair, but since returning to life post-pandemic, we’ve been curating the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which is precisely what we’re doing again this year. But 2024 will see The Pyramid Stage open for the first time on Thursday, so our pals at Flow State have put together a Skinny-approved lineup to help get the party off to a flying start, with Megan Black, FERNS, naafi and Makeness all set to play.

For our first day of programming on Friday, we have a smasher of a four-way tie for musical excellence. There’s experimental pop from Leith outfit Doom Scroller, crystalline alt-pop from East Lothian troupe racecar, scrappy garage-synthpop from Glasgow trio Brenda and acerbic angular dance-punk from excitable Edinburgh quintet Bikini Body. We're chuffed to have Bikini Body back on the Pyramid Stage after their last-minute set on our 2022 lineup; their latest EP Weird Party, released last month via Optimo Music Rocks, absolutely slaps.

On Saturday, knowing that everyone will go too hard on Friday night, we promise to ease you in gently with the gorgeous and soothing sounds of artists like Paisley singer-songwriter Linzi Clark, DIY bedroom pop aficionado sarya, melancholy dance-pop from Karys and SAY Award-nominated neo-soul rising star Becky Sikasa, who is sure to put on an unforgettable performance.

As the day progresses, things start to get spicy with East Kilbride genre-bending star-in-the-making LAMAYA, hyperpop fairy princess and 2023 Sound of Young Scotland nominee Pearling, and 80s-indebted pop maestro Leif Coffield, before LVRA takes centre stage. Nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year in 2023 for her muscular and dancefloor bothering record Soft Like Steel, we’re excited for LVRA to welcome you into her world of hyperpop, wobbly bass, and synthetic textured electronics sure to bring our stage to its Saturday night climax in style.

Sunday will then start out on a similarly serene and forgiving path in the early hours of the day, with the unreal talent of Glasgow singer-songwriter and 2023 Sound of Young Scotland nominee Pippa Blundell getting things underway, before a pair of Popgirlz go back to back; expect soulful R’n’B from Nikhita and delicate pop from Kohla.

When evening comes, Sunday gets altogether dancier at the Pyramid with the arrival of Edinburgh synth trio Thundermoon; any luck, they might just whip out their amazing cover of Insomnia by Faithless. SAY Award nominee Eyes of Others will then take up the mantle with his baggy brand of “post-pub-couldn’t-get-in-the-club music”, before Glasgow’s neverfine bring their big industrial synth-pop to the stage. Continuing the dancefloor trend will be Glasgow producer and former member of The Ninth Wave Calum Stewart, aka Health and Beauty, while Edinburgh outfit rEDOLENT will bring this year's Pyramid party to a head. Their debut album dinny greet is set for release via Post Electric this Friday (17 May) and trust us, you'll want to hear it live.

So that's the lineup. Come find us this July at Kelburn and discover some great new Scottish music; The Pyramid Stage is the first stage on the right as you come in the main entrance – you can't miss us!
