In addition to the previously announced Scottish contingent for this year's SXSW conference (which, thanks to some crowd-funding ingenuity, now includes Edinburgh based troupe Meursault in its ranks), a few high-profile artists have also joined their 2,200-strong bill – the latest additions include Damon Albarn, St. Vincent, Kelis, recent Skinny cover stars Warpaint, Chance The Rapper, and Temples. Details and tickets here

This year MUTEK (5-8 Mar) in Barcelona celebrates its 5th anniversary with a packed bill featuring performances from a wealth of UK and international electronic music talent including Marcel Dettmann, Nils Frahm, Andy Stott, Scratcha DVA, Laurel Halo, and Kode9 playing a special commemorative set celebrating a decade of his cutting-edge bass music label, Hyperdub. There are also a huge wave of Spanish electronic artists confirmed, paying tribute to the rising stars of the Barcelona scene and beyond. In addition, Montreal's Deadbeat will be in attendance for a very special 3-part Ableton workshop. Details and tickets here.

Further afield, we have Canada's Field Trip (7-8 June) – taking place near Toronto, the festival, run by Broken Social Scene's Arts & Crafts label, will feature BSS themselves, with support from Interpol, The Kills, the recently reformed Constantines, CHVRCHES, Half Moon Run, Kevin Drew of BSS playing a solo set, Austra, Fucked Up, A Tribe Called Red, Badbadnotgood and others. Check out the lineup in full here.

Closer to home, this year's End of the Road (29-31 Aug), taking place in Dorset, will feature The Flaming Lips, in their only confirmed UK festival appearance so far, alongside Wild Beasts, John Grant, Yo La Tengo, The Horrors, Tinariwen, Hookworms, British Sea Power, Connan Mockasin, White Denim, John Cooper Clarke, Perfume Genius, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, White Denim and Mark Kozelek, among others. Details and tickets here.
