Rain, Underwear and Ebay
Week two in the fringe and well, the weather had to break at some point didn't it? I like that we have no defined sense of what the weather is going to be all day and even though I am living mere minutes from my venue I still have to dress as if it may rain/be sunny/sleet/hail/be windy or be a storm all at once. It makes flyering people one hell of a job.
I have started a strange ritual every day whereby once I come off stage I go to my store room and watch a few minutes of the show that is happening in the venue next to me. Sounds like something any comedian might do and probably not even strange I hear you say. Well the difference is the show in the venue next to me is The Chippendales. Every night for approx. 10 minutes me and my technician Adam stand transfixed as the biggest men I have ever seen aside from WWE wrestlers concentrate furiously so that they don't miss any of their dance steps and ruin a very horny ladies night out. We see a lot of bras being thrown at them and we see a lot of knickers being thrown at them and we can’t help but be jealous. Ladies, this is my appeal to you – if you feel like I am doing a particularly good job on stage please feel free to throw any underwear you happen to have spare in your bag onto my stage or at Adam’s head. It would make us feel so much better.
I will be auctioning off something from my show on Ebay from Sunday at 8.30 this week as well as some other comics auctioning off things dear to them so feel free to check out my facebook and the biscuit array this week has been massive for the Mish Mash including a very fancy night of Caramel Logs – Oh those lucky people.
