Howard

Every week the multi-award winning double act Anna Crilly and Katy Wix honour a member of Take That and the shadow they cast across this year's festival.

WEEK ONE: HOWARD

Oh my god, there’s a eagle on the train, oh no, hang on, it’s just the sound of the squeaky seat of the lady next to me. She looks like a right Howard.

Well, so far we are having a delightful Edinburgh. We made it on the train. It is the correct train and we got the right month– champagne all round!

Next to me is an American couple who are talking about Cardiff and next time they go they will take a ‘light sweater’, you need to say that  to yourself in the right accent to really understand what we’re going through. They look a bit like Gary and Mark.

On the carriage opposite us is a man who looks just like the chap in those adverts for anti-chafing cream  We’ll call him Jason for the time being – the brand name escapes me now, but you know the ones. He certainly carries the expression of a man who is ’rub free’.

Tomorrow we do our tech, many people think this involves working out lighting and sound things but for us it's more about writing the show and unpacking the props from last year to see what we can use them for, quite often it’s a scene about tramps who run a crumple shop - because they are quite crumpled by this point. We have section in the show that’s not really working at the moment, that section is about 55 minutes.

I don’t really agree with blogging in general so I’ll leave it there thank you.
