Rich Hall

Rich Hall grumbles into the microphone as if he’s just killing time. He's has been in the comedy business for over 20 years and it's apparent in the ease and comfort he bears on stage, making himself at home at the mic stand.

His affection for Edinburgh coupled with being frequently baffled by it in his dead pan way breaks up the morose commentary. Tonight, however, his mind tends to wander, the joke sometimes getting lost in a trail of Muttley dog mumbles. It is a hit and miss show - perhaps, as he suggests, political satire doesn’t quite suit the late night Saturday crowd. But when he’s funny, he’s extremely funny, and so off-hand it’s easy to miss the punch line, which oddly then makes it funnier.
