The Edinburgh International Improv Festival is a four-day festival in celebration of improv. From local up-and-coming troupes to internationally known names, the festival will showcase the best in improvised comedy theatre.
EIIF will also teach a full curriculum of improv workshops as well hosting a programme of shows including two family events, an open jam night for anyone to give improv a try, and an LGBTQ+ friendly jam night, with the festival culminating in a final ‘all-star’ performance. The festival runs 7 to 10 February at Scottish Storytelling Centre & Assembly Roxy. Full programme and tickets at www.edimprovfest.com
Award-winning hip-hop improviser Abandoman, fresh from his UK & Ireland pirate radio tour, will be headlining the festival launch on 7 February at Assembly Roxy. Supporting is the ever popular local troupe Spontaneous Players, who garnered five-star reviews during their Fringe sell-out run of Spontaneous Potter in the summer.
