Curb Your Enthusiasm season 9 trailer: Larry is back!
Rest easy, everyone; the new trailer for Curb Your Enthusiasm shows no sign Larry David has mellowed with age. In fact, he's more misanthropic than ever
Larry David is back! The first full trailer for the much-anticipated ninth series of Curb Your Enthusiasm has been released, and we’re pleased to say Larry is as misanthropic as ever. “You’re devoid of anything that’s remotely caring or empathetic,” says Curb regular Richard Lewis to Larry. Larry’s response: “That’s a great compliment.”
In the new 90-second trailer we see Larry create a whole host of incredibly awkward situations. He tells a woman crying at a funeral to “shut up”, asks a young couple not to kiss on the street (“you’re allowed to be happy, just not in front of me”) and shows no sympathy for his assistant who takes some sick days because she’s constipated (“people do things constipated!”). We also see a succession of people tell him where to go, including a bus driver who tells him: “If I see you on my bus again, I’m going to fuck you up.”
We also get a glimpse of Bryan Cranston, who appears to be guest starring this season as Larry’s psychiatrist. Other guest stars are reported to include Jimmy Kimmel, Nick Offerman, Elizabeth Banks and Lauren Graham, while Curb regulars like Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, JB Smoove, Susie Essman and Ted Danson (as himself) are all returning.
The ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm returns to HBO in the US on 1 Oct, and Sky Atlantic in the UK on 2 Oct. Take a look at the trailer in the player above, or watch on YouTube here.
