Xplicit has filled the expanding gap, and its new marriage with The Bongo Club is straight out of a chick flick with a seriously happy ending.

The Edinburgh club scene has been craving another world-class club night, in a venue that does it justice, and with a large helping of mentalist punters to carry it on its way. Thankfully Xplicit has filled the expanding gap, and its new marriage with The Bongo Club is straight out of a chick flick with a seriously happy ending. The world dominating Planet Pendulum Tour touched down with an almighty bang and frivolously shook up the full-to-bursting-point club without stopping to wipe its feet on the way in. The residents were joined by Manga's The General, and expertly roused the crowd before the onslaught of outlandish mixes including Prodigy's Hold Your Colour (Rage Against the Machine mix) that provided the essence of what Pendulum can cram into their set. MC's BZ and Tonn Piper continue to be leaders of the Scottish club residents and a rude boy set from DJ Prophecy ended an energetic night of fully-fledged fantastic entertainment. [Jonny Ogg]
