Mr Velcro Fastener - Capek

This is Mr Velcro Fastener's second release from their March album Telemacho, and will fit neatly inside the box of any discerning minimal house jock. Capek is a deft mix of squeaks, bleeps and synths, chugging along to a solid 4/4, alongside the obligatory foreign robot voice to create an accomplished, if not particularly memorable slice of electro. Little else is added by the Sasse Flight 982 remix, so it's straight over to the B-side for two more album tracks. Telemacho is basically the same again only 10 bpms faster and with a little less imagination, but Silent Running is a far more melodic, relaxed affair, reminiscent of early Kraftwerk. [Peter Walker]
