A Thursday in Tuts has never ever been so much like a Sunday in the SubClub

A Thursday in Tuts has never ever been so much like a Sunday in the SubClub: if there's one band who can write real songs with a fantastic understanding of house music it's Hot Chip, as the pulsating crowd danced for their lives tonight. It's no coincidence that the crowd were half clubbers and half shmindies because tracks like the Warning and Boy From School (sounding more elegant and funereal live than it ever did on record) are made to cross that divide: quirky instruments (geek-vintage keys, maracas, cowbells), ballad-like structures, but with suspended breakdowns and a whole bucket of funky sweaty energy from the four on stage.
