Four hours in a car from Birmingham to arrive for the headline set is pretty good going

Fast Car was a tune by Dillinja was it not? Seems that DJ Hazard must have taken some tips from the D&B don. Due to the unfortunate no show of Mampi Swift, the promoters of Xplicit enlisted the help of the Ganja Crew faithful - and last minute doesn't even describe it. Four hours in a car from Birmingham to arrive for the headline set is pretty good going and the fast pace of the night didn't stop there. E.N.O pulled a together a marathon and altogether reputable three hours of flat out Drum and Bass. For a while there was a feeling in the air of what might not be, but around 2am the tall, skinny figure appeared and, in true Hazard style, the club wobbled furiously with fat, squelchy basslines all the way to 3:30am. These were the sounds of the inner city and although he was not the guest that the crowd had gone there to see, Hazard's full on, in-your-face approach to both production and mixing has to be heartily commended. What easily could have been a disaster turned into a notable success. [Jonny Ogg]
