Album title: Remixes
Artist: Frost and Wagner

Release date: 12 May

Oliver Frost & Adrian Wagner have been busy making quite a name for themselves on the reggae scene, and finally deliver a collection of their best remixes on the Sonar Kollektiv imprint. The album is a good summer groover, with plenty to get you in the mood to kick-back and neck strawberry daiquiris in the blistering Scottish sunshine. With some beautiful jazz reggae and soulful vocals from the voice of Joy Denalane to open the disc, the tone is very much set. Sadly, however, much of it becomes quite repetitive and formulaic, especially after the first three tracks. Picking up again with album high point Klar, a roasty dancehall number from Jan Delay, the latter half then proceeds in much the same vein as the opening five tracks. Good for the background while your sausages spit on the bbq and you pour the next cocktail.
