Box Codax - Missed Her Kiss

Missed Her Kiss is, frankly, a rather tedious venture which somewhat
unsuccessfully attempts to jump on the art-geek gameboy-electro-sound by
apparently sampling the carnival level from Sonic 3 amongst other blips and
quirks that any gamepad jockey will no doubt recognise. The weak attempt at
mingling Berlin electronics with Las Vegas kitsch is tiresome and doesn't
really get very far. The remix of Rat Boy throws minimal bleeps into the pot
along with chopped up fidget vocals, the occasional distorted guitar, a
plodding 4x4 beat and a garage-like bassline. The broth it results in is too
slow, boring, and basically tries to hard. [Paddy Loughman]
