Basement Jaxx - Raindrops

By the time you read this, Raindrops is sure to be a ubiquitous staple across pop-angled daytime radio. Utilising the usual Jaxx formula of catchy hook and dance-friendly production, it works but not as well more recent singles, with Felix Buxton’s treated vocal proving a little grating. Funkagenda and Paul Thomas combine to provide a pretty standard electro-house remix that retains the chorus while current dubstep hot property, the Bristolian producer Joker offers the best of the three versions, with his warped two-step, electro-funk, retaining Felix’s full vocal.
