Xplicit - Glasgow Launch with Pendulum, Glasgow School of Art, Nov 10

Their heavy edge, with a few surprises along the way, always makes for a night of razor sharp entertainment

Glasgow has been waiting for its next big Drum and Bass night since Live v Evil was wrapped up in December last year. Well, the city's scene is about to get a double kick in the arse when promoter Simon McGrath unleashes the west coast wing of the mighty Xplicit, featuring the now commercially massive Planet Pendulum tour. For the launch night at the Glasgow Art School, Xplicit has pulled together its own residents with some familiar names on the Clyde side of the country, which should help bridge the gap and pull together a now healthy Scottish Drum and Bass scene. Expect the unexpected from Pendulum, who remain diverse in the tune selection of live shows. Their heavy edge, with a few surprises along the way, always makes for a night of razor sharp entertainment. A return to the Glasgow circuit is made by Paul Reset & Morphy, and Xplicit's residents ENO & MC BZ are assisted by MC Verse in hosting this essential showcase. [Jonny Ogg]
