Wonky Wallpaper, The GRV, Edinburgh, 18 Jan

The GRV is a new multi-faceted venue that plans to offer something for the eyes, ears and feet that love the beats. Their sounds have little on the cheese front with a roster of nights of drum and bass, techno and house all on offer. With no expense spared, the soundsystem and visuals are some of the best in the city and one night that definitely utilises all these atributes is Wonky Wallpaper. The night, in their own words, creates 'an extra sensory experience' and has DJs providing both experimental beats and artists with a taste for live electronic visuals with a modern art feel. The residents on offer this month are the talented Absolute Chancer and the unusually named but artistically and musically astute k3nnEth. Both will wow the discerning Edinburgh crowd at this new venue that promises much more to come in future months. [Sean McNamara]
