The VEGAS! Grand Hogmanay Ball

Hogmanay is an event often subject to over-hype. What’s set to be one of the most uninhibited social events of the year can be reduced to a sombre Auld Lang Syne in the front room of your grandparents' house. However, a safe bet for preserving New Year glamour could be a £30 investment in Ocean Terminal’s Grand Hogmanay Ball, held by Scotland’s burlesque authority Vegas.

From the doors opening at 9pm, the night will demonstrate the principles of cabaret, starting with the unequivocal stage antics of both Missy Malone and Kittie Klaw plus the enigmatic Dolores Delight, a compact little lady hitting the biggest diva notes.
The veteran Soul Foundation have also been drafted in to expertly address the dancefloor matters of funk, whilst Tam’s Ceilidh Band will answer with the sure-fire native method of shaking up room, showing their mastery of the classic reels and jigs suited to the occasion.

This entire experience reflects Vegas’ performance ethos, seeking to blur the line between the artists and crowd by having everyone mingle in the true spirit of a club, a club which even has its own faux casino where you can spend your complimentary ‘Elvis dollars’, a lush affair indeed.

The VEGAS! Grand Hogmanay Ball, 31st of December. Admission: £30:00 (subject to booking fee)
