Technolab Presents Surgeon, The Soundhaus, Glasgow

Realistically no one comes to the Soundhaus for a quiet night out and a half shandy

Surgeon's no stranger to Glasgow, having played Monox and The Renfrew Ferry previously, so I'm taking a wild guess to say that he must like it. This visit is for a hefty three hour set, but realistically no one comes to the Soundhaus for a quiet night out and a half shandy, so that should fly by in a blink of a techno eye. He's seemingly getting darker in his old age, so expect a set taking your ears through industrial-influenced techno, vibrating your body with grumbling sub-bass, and taking your head, if it's then in any fit state to comprehend it, through crazy poly-rhythms. A wander to the wee room will keep you chilled with electro and breaks, and it'll be well worth a visit too.[Melissa Thomson]
