Scottish Clubbing Highlights: August 2026

The return of the Edinburgh Fringe on Friday 7 August can only mean one thing: the clubs are open until 5am! Celebrations begin with EPiKA’s 5th birthday, as Colombian techno-mainstay Sara Delirio arrives for her UK debut at recently reopened The Liquid Room, Edinburgh (7 Aug). Scottish queer clubbing institution Hot Mess returns to Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh – expect disco, house and high-energy classics (7 Aug). Every clubber’s favourite livestreamers, Keep Hush, meets Edinburgh’s bassiest party, Headset, for a stacked takeover featuring JIALING, Smiff and Feena – venue TBA (7 Aug). 

For those taking refuge in Glasgow, we recommend heading to the Sub Club Roof Party in aid of The Niamh Jobson Research Fund – with a lineup of Jobson’s closest friends and collaborators, it’s set to be a celebration of the much-loved Glasgow DJ (8 Aug). On the same night, Stereo and grind provisions join forces to bring LA-based DJ and producer Asphodèle to the Glasgow basement for hard drum, gqom and juke. Over at The Mash House in Edinburgh, Samedia Shebeen host their annual Fringe all-nighter for lovers of Afro house, Latin bass and sun-soaked sounds (8 Aug).  

One of Scotland’s finest junglists takes to La Cheetah Club on Friday 14 August, with Midnight Bass x Pray To Good hosting Mrs Magoo for high-energy, roots-heavy drum‘n’bass. Lora Mipsum and ANNX come to neurons for a night of progressive house, hypnotic trance and immersive lighting at Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh (15 Aug). Seraphim Sound stage a live set special at The Old Hairdresser's, Glasgow, with early evening performances from Xylitol and Konx-om-Pax (15 Aug). 

Postal are set to hold it down each Sunday of the Fringe at Sneaky Pete’s – catch local heroes LWS, Lara Sinclair and ZO3 on Sunday 16 August, or get lively at their 160 BPM special on Sunday 23 August. Another unmissable Fringe afterparty lands on Monday 17 August as Ride n Bounce partner with party collective Volens Chorus for R'n'B, hip-hop and noughties nostalgia at Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh. Over at George Square, Common Ground holds a day-to-night rave, celebrating UK sounds and local selectors (22 Aug).

Capping off the month, DJ Paypal joins polyterror at Stereo, Glasgow, for footwork, juke and forward-thinking 160 BPM sounds (22 Aug). Timescape presents ‘Arcadian’ at a secret location in Glasgow on Saturday 29 August, for a hazy, immersive journey through minimal, deep house and electronica. Sound System Legacies and Edinburgh Dub Club host the biggest names in bass music at The Pitt Market, Edinburgh, with Kahn & Neek, SGT Pokes and Hometown Sound all in attendance (29 Aug).
