Nite Jewel arrive at Huntleys and Palmers fresh from LA with their mesmerising DIY sound.

From the dreamy opening notes of Nite Jewel's album Good Evening it's quite clear that this is not going to be your usual listening experience. Romana Gonzalez released two twelve inches on the wonderful Italians Do It Better label under the Nite Jewel moniker and the debut album received a British release this year on the No Pain In Pop imprint.

The reaction to the album has been positive to say the least and with very good reason. Not here will you find a record that is easy to classify or polished to the point of damage with over-production. Instead it is a a masterclass in DIY music making, created in Romana Gonzalez's bedroom on an eight-track recorder with no previous production experience.

Tomorrow night's performance is sure to be a memorable one and the six pound door tax is an absolute steal considering support comes from Optimo Music's Dollskabeat and allows access to the afterparty with JD Twitch and Chops.

Not in Glasgow? Have no fear, Nite Jewel appear at Sneaky Pete's the following evening.

9pm - 11pm, £6 (or £3 for just the afterparty), 1 Oct.
