Mutiny, Bongo Club, Edinburgh, 31 Jan

If you were fool enough to miss the last, get your sorry ass down there

Article by Rosie McLean | 06 Jan 2008
The indomitable Mutiny will make its return to the Bongo on 31 Jan and once again, Nass TSC and Tamobanter reap the finest representatives of the underground for another steely barrage of noise. Ely Muff (Headfuk/One Inch Punch/Deathchant) is set to deliver a pounder of a hardcore set. If you've managed to catch this guy at any of London's Headfuk raves or Nuthouse at Studio 24, you'll know what to expect: relentless bangers. Ronin (Riot Squad) is playing breakcore and Life4land's Stivs will deliver a healthy dose of ragga-jungle. Cutting edge Cambridge party collective Life4land have made several appearances this side of the border now (Ed Cox with his live accordion mashup of clowncore, and Stivs, at Dubpressure, Mattycore and Scamp at the last Mutiny), and thanks to these innovative promoters we can expect to see many more. Joining them will be Tekamine (Damage) with a hardcore set, and Mutiny's own Nass TSC and Tamobanter, both playing heavy d'n'b. Door tax is resolutely cheap and cheerful, so if you were fool enough to miss the last, get your sorry ass down there. [Rosie McLean]
