Sequential has vowed to champion home-grown talent

As well as flying through some of the biggest names in d&b, Sequential has vowed to champion homegrown talent and 20 April sees the first of its strictly local nights with headliner Morphy (Direct Recordings). Glasgow based producer Morphy is synonymous with the jungle sound, strictly flexing Amen breaks and ragga samples throughout his back catalogue, which stretches as far as his 2002 debut Cheb MkII on Urban Takeover recordings. Therefore, you should expect to be well and truly knocked out with the dub fest Morphy is sure to unleash on the Studio 24 crowd during his 90 minute set. Slowmotion Ninja is taking a break, making way for new Sequential resident Sawagashi, alongside old hands Weak Hunt and Covalent. In addition, the night's promoters have vowed to keep the door tax to a minimum in order to entice the masses back to this fantastic venue. Packaged up, this is an event not to be missed. [Jonny Ogg]
