Innuendub presents: Joker & A1 Bassline @ Cab Vol
Scottish audiences are always hungry for electronic goodness, but there’s one thing they just can’t get enough of at the moment: dubstep. After storming the Sub Club with Numbers, Joker is back over our side of the border and set to serve up his brand of grime influenced dubstep to hundreds of open mouthed Edinburgh clubgoers.
Headlining at the Cab Vol for Innundub on 10 December, Joker has established himself at the forefront of the dubstep genre, with his own soulful, grime interpretations of the sound. Past releases such as Tron and Gullybrook Lane have created a genuine sense of anticipation surrounding Joker’s productions, with many eagerly awaiting his soon to be released debut album. Supporting on the night will be A1 Bassline, who (as the name suggests) skips the mid-range and will undoubtedly be throwing out some massive bass.
It’s clearly one of the strongest line-ups, with some of the greatest potential in the capital for some time, which has to be what you expect when Inneundub brings together forces from all of the city’s dubstep merchants: Electrickal, Volume, Axis, BedBug and Echodub. If the results of such camaraderie are a crammed Cab Vol and impressive performances then maybe it’s a forumla for others to follow. [Calum Sweeney]
