Indigitous 5th Birthday, Studio 24, Edinburgh, 2 Feb

Minimal tech-house and the funkier tones of psy-trance will be getting a blasting

The sporadic Indigitious are back for their Fifth Birthday, and perhaps their last ever night of the club. The new and vastly improved Studio 24 will provide a most suitable arena – their expensive makeover bring a new sound system, new bar, new floors, new sound-proofing and insulation, and even a new lick of paint with it. Londoners will be taking over both floors, imported especially for this evening's entertainment. Henry Seligman from Dragonfly Records (the Goa-influenced trance and techno mainstay) will be playing a two hour DJ set as part of the main room's Digital Disco. He's a Glade regular, and also does the season in Goa Disco. Minimal tech-house and the funkier tones of psy-trance will be getting a blasting with help from Stu, the organizer of London's Echo System, a progressive night that flies in DJs from around the globe. Upstairs will be Simon B representing Twisted Records, who specialise in Goa/Psychedelic Trance; his set will be a mixture of electro, big beat and splashes of the spectrum of electronic music. Professional MisConduct's Hugo Ryder will follow. Indigitious are even bringing in Timelord as décor team to give the Studios the ol' Changing Rooms. They also happen to annually organise the Wicker Man festival in Dumfries. Projections will top it all off, especially provided by Ben Harpman, who currently does visuals for Madness. [Alex Burden]
