Construct is coming to Studio 24 on Oct 13

Construct is a meeting of all things drum and bass from around Scotland, to help raise money for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres and the Meningitis Trust. This night is also about celebrating the life of much-respected MC Sonny, who sadly died on October 14 last year. Featuring residents from Edinburgh's premier drum and bass clubs - Manga, Xplicit, Obscene and Red Alert, plus support from Edinburgh:Bassed, Rogue State, Sybiosis and Split, this night looks set to be a banging collection of superb homegrown talent. It will also see the introduction of the first drum and bass night to hit the Studio's new and improved sound system, so get yourself down there for some loud, noisy, dirty beats. MC Sonny was a founder member of Edinburgh:Bassed and a well-loved resident at the legendary Manga, as well as gracing the stage of practically every other dnb club in Scotland, and his presence is certainly missed. All proceeds from this bash will be split between Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres and the Meningitis Trust. Maggies Centres provide serene environments for anyone who has suffered from cancer, whilst also supporting families, friends and carers, and is the charity which supported Sonny through his tragic illness, and continues to offer help to those who knew him. The Meningitis Trust is an international charity fighting meningitis through support, education, and research. These two worthwhile charities need your support, so dig deep into your pockets and put your dancing shoes on for this one-off fundraising event which not only hopes to raise bucketloads of cash for charity, but also promises to put on a fantastic night of unbeatable drum and bass.
