On its day of release last Monday, the band performed an intimate live show at Glasgow's CCA, as part of a session for BBC Radio Scotland broadcaster Vic Galloway's contribution to Celtic Connections

The BBC had cameras present, capturing four tracks from their extended set, including Remurdered, Heard About You Last Night and The Lord Is Out Of Control, all taken from Rave Tapes. They also performed an encore, featuring the classic track Helicon 1, taken from the band's debut, 1997's Ten Rapid.

Speaking exclusively to The Skinny for a forthcoming feature, Mogwai's Barry Burns describes preparing his contributions for Rave Tapes' sessions in a Berlin studio. "I like that feeling of terror," he tells us. "It’s pretty much like when you play football as a child – that feeling where you’re chasing a ball, terrified..."
