Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks have released a video for new track Cinnamon and Lesbians, taken from their forthcoming album Wig Out at Jagbags, which is due for release on 7 January. The track features some classic lyrical weirdness from the ex-Pavement frontman, including the line "I've been tripping my face off since breakfast."
The video aims for literal interpretations of Malkmus' non-sequiturs and bizarre lyrical images, with members of the band and actors playing out scenes of stolen ice cream, prisoners on the run from jail, and (of course) lesbians messing about with cinnamon.
Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks play Glasgow's Oran Mor on 14 January, and Manchester's Gorilla on 15 January.
