Music Video Premiere: Blood Relatives - A Murder of Crows

Video | 06 Apr 2014

An exclusive premiere for the official video for A Murder of Crows by Glasgow's Blood Relatives. In an interview with Glasgow collective TYCI last year, the band described themselves as "fun, credible pop, with lyrical bite," and there's plenty of evidence of that on their new single.

A Murder of Crows is taken from the album Deerheart, on which the band's lead singer Anna Meldrum writes about such diverse subjects as "body image, family resemblance, aging and disease... anxiety and insecurity... gluttonous ducks, an evil crow, some deer, and various crustaceans." The sharp-eyed among you might remember their previous incarnation as Kitty The Lion.

The band are currently on a UK tour, playing Aberdeen's The Tunnels on 9 April, Dundee's Buskers on 10 April, Manchester's The Castle on 16 April, Liverpool's Korova on 17 April, and a hometown gig at Glasgow's Broadcast on 26 April - details about all of those gigs are available from our Listings section. For dates outside these cities, check the Blood Relatives site.
