Adore//repel are a four-piece from Wakefield, West Yorkshire; a fiercely independent band with their own record label, who are currently building their own studio. They operate without a booking agent or manager and embrace everything that has always been so healthy about the DIY ethic.

The outfit are currently preparing to unleash their debut album, Empty Orchestra, upon the world and to celebrate we’re premiering the music video for Single Road Part II, the latest single to be taken from the album. Recorded at the renowned Nave Studios in Leeds and released on their own Shoveitupyourcult Records, Empty Orchestra reveals a band brimming with intensity, beauty and ferocity.

Guitarist and vocalist James Lee Brown tells The Skinny: "The video for Secret Road Part II was shot on the roof of the legendary Audiozone Studios in Wakefield. We started rehearsing there as 15-year-old misfits, with our guitars in bin bags and everything turned up to 10.

“To this day, we still rehearse in the same room. So for us, it was a way to pay homage to our roots and to the guys that run the studio. One night at rehearsals, and with dozens of video ideas floating around, Anthony our drummer said, 'Why don't we just set up on the roof here?' and we instantly started planning the shoot."

Empty Orchestra is released on 14 Apr via Shoveitupyourcult Records. Adore//repel launch their album at 360 Club at The Library, Leeds, 14 Apr
