The Skinny Magazine presents Little Princess Birthday Party (1997) by Jim Le Fevre, one in a series of selected work from Edinburgh College of Art's past graduates in the discipline of animation. A selection of some of the best of ECA's graduate animation work from the past 20 years will be screened at the 2014 manipulate festival.

Jim Le Fevre is a BAFTA and British Animation Award-winning freelance film maker, mostly working in animation. As well as making films for the last ten or fifteen years he has illustrated books and CDs, including Artsongs for the Tate gallery.

He is the Creative Director of ethical investment project Abundance Generation. According to Le Fevre, Little Princess Birthday Party follows the theme of: "Once upon a time... or was it?" The film examines the difficulties of trying to tell a story as they come frighteningly to life.
