If your dose of experimental theatre has worn off since August and the Fringe, never fear: Take Me Somewhere, Glasgow’s festival dedicated to weird and wonderful performance art is back, taking over various venues across the city from 15-26 October.

It’s an incredibly strong programme this year: queer, disabled performance Dan Daw, last seen in Scotland at this year's Edinburgh International Festival, brings his new show EXXY, while India-born, Glasgow-based artist Shawn Nayar explores hybridity and the legacies of colonialism with The Mongrel. Olga Koch: Comes From Money
Monkey Barrel Comedy Club, Edinburgh. 10 Oct, 8pm
Olga Koch’s previous comedy hour was about risking it all to humiliate yourself for love. This one is an even more embarrassing confession: Koch has wealthy parents. With her trademark wry wit and quickness, Koch dissects ideas of privilege and class in the arts.

AMPLIFI
The Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh. 15 Oct, 8pm
Gig series AMPLIFI takes to The Queen’s Hall’s main stage for the first time: Theon Cross plays a mix of contemporary jazz, reggae and afrobeats, and also on the programme are Glasgow nu-jazz collective Azamiah and nu-jazz, R’n’B and neo-soul singer-songwriter Gaïa.
