It's that time again, to limber up your experimental theatre muscles in preparation for the months ahead. Lucky, then, that one of our favourite festivals is in town this week: Glasgow's Buzzcut Festival returns from 15-18 April across various venues, including Tramway, Hidden Gardens and Glade Cafe, with its signature cutting edge programme of experimental performance.

Highlights from this year’s programme include Margot Conde Arenas’s intimate solo performance about the sea as a site of diaspora (pictured), Sean Wai Keung’s durational cooking performance Hand Pulled, and a whacking exhibition by Dorine Mugisha. Discover the full programme here.

New look, same commitments: the sixteenth edition of the UK’s festival of experimental film and artists’ moving image is steeped in a solidarity and rage appropriate to our times. If you’re looking for a genuinely communitarian gathering that doesn’t compromise on its curation, this is it. Day Passes available for day-trippers and this year there’s even a crèche for those visiting with wee ones.
