  • And Here I Am, Palestine at the Fringe

A Fringe within the Fringe! A matryoshka doll of a festival, Welcome to the Fringe, Palestine is a mini – but packed – weekender celebrating Palestinian arts and culture through theatre, music, dance and food held at Portobello Town Hall from 12-15 August as part of the broader Fringe programme.

There’s some incredible performance pieces – including Hassan Abdulrazzak’s And Here I Am (pictured) set against the First and Second Intifada – music – including a DJ set by Bruno Cruz and a performance by Gazan oud player Reem Anbar – puppetry by the Arab Puppet Theatre Foundation, dance workshops and more. You can attend individual performances, buy a day pass, or even get a full festival pass – more details, including the full programme, are here.
