It's never too early in the year for spooky season and with the sun now firmly behind the rain clouds, the vibes are all set for Dundead Film Festival, the DCA's celebration of horror, cult and weird cinema, running this year from 7-10 May.

As usual, the festival features several UK and Scottish premieres, including Camp, a creepy feature about the horrors of coming-of-age, Buffet Infinity, a film from Simon Glassman in which a string of advertisements reveal a strange narrative, and the disturbing Algerian supernatural feature Roquia. New to the festival this year is a strand of repertory films curated by cinema collective Invisible Women called She’s a Maneater!, spotlighting decades of horror engaging with female desire and appetite: featured films include Stephanie Rothman's Velvet Vampire (pictured) and Julia Ducournau’s Raw.
