Record Store Day

Record Store Day, the UK’s annual celebration of indie record shops, returns on Saturday (12 Apr). An outrageous list of new vinyls have been pressed exclusively for this year's event, with LPs from Charli xcx, Remi Wolf, David Bowie and De La Soul among them. In addition, there's a plethora of events and parties planned.

Le Freak in Dundee are throwing a BYOB shindig with all-vinyl DJ sets from the likes of Kieron Nieve (DEMS / Rare), Egang and Jukebox Junkies. In Glasgow, Monorail hosts gigs from Nightshift, Chizu Nnamdi and The Mary Column while the courtyard of the Cooperage, home to Some Great Reward, will be jumping with vinyl-only DJ sets from Ripped In Glasgow, Claire Biddles and ButhoTheWarrior.

And in Edinburgh, Thorne Records, Umbrella Vinyl, Underground Solu’shn, Avalanche, VoxBox and Good Vibes all have great events planned, with the latter hosting an afterparty at Leith Cricket Club in collaboration with vinyl-loving party-makers Supper Club.
